John Cormack

John Cormack is standing for the Glasgow City Council election in Ward 13 Garscadden and Scotstounhill in May 2012.

John is the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Scottish Christian Party and Chairman of the Glasgow branch of the Party.

He is a member of the Knightswood community council and stood on the Glasgow Regional list of candidates for the Scottish Parliamentary Election in May 2007 and 2011.

He has an engineering degree from the University of Strathclyde and works as a consultant in technical recruitment across a number of business sectors. He is married and is a member of a Reformed Baptist Church in Glasgow.

Youcef Nadarkhani received a death sentence in Iran for apostasy (abandoning Islam - which he says he never followed). He is currently on trial in Rasht. He could be executed by hanging at any time. Stop homosexual 'marriage'

The Scottish Government consultation about redefining marriage to include homosexual couples has finished. The documentation is explained here. Christians are encouraged to write to their MSPs to register their opposition to any legislation along this line, and to write to the SNP Government to encourage them to drop this idea. We already have polygamy recognised by UK legislation. The SCP response to the SNP Government's consultation is available for download.
