2005 General Election

The Scottish Christian Party fought the General Election as Operation Christian Vote in the Western Isles where the Rev. George Hargreaves was the candidate and polled 7.5% of the vote

Operation Christian Vote demonstrated that there was a core vote who would vote Christian in spite of little time and opportunity to campaign.

OCV came 4th, behind the 1. SNP; 2. Labour; and the 3. Liberal Democrats.  With 1,048 (7.5%) votes, OCV beat the Conservatives by 5:3 votes, who lost their deposit with 610 votes (4.4%).
