Suggested answers and simplified questionnaire

The Scottish Christian Party has produced a simplified questionnaire with the answers it recommends to the SNP Scottish Government Consultation on redefining marriage.

It was publicised at a Press Conference in Inverness on 23rd November 2011, at which the details of the SCP response was also outlined.

Dr Donald Boyd, the leader of the SCP, claimed that the SCP has produced the most comprehensive response from the Christian community to date, but this has been condensed and summarised for the public in a one-page ready-reckoner.

There are about two weeks left for the public to respond, and to help Christians with the answers the SCP has produced this one-page ready-reckoner to help respondents to see what each question is about, along with the recommended answer and reasons.

The questions in the Consultation Document are simplified in the ready-reckoner for easy comparison with each other. This ready-reckoner can be downloaded, printed off and distributed to others.

This ready-reckoner is simply a help. You should use the Government’s Questionnaire for your submission: the links are available below.

Stop homosexual 'marriage'

The Scottish Government consultation about redefining marriage to include homosexual couples has finished. The documentation is explained here. Christians are encouraged to write to their MSPs to register their opposition to any legislation along this line, and to write to the SNP Government to encourage them to drop this idea. We already have polygamy recognised by UK legislation. The SCP response to the SNP Government's consultation is available for download.

Local Council elections 3rd May 2012

Do you have a SCP candidate in your area? If you do, give your first vote to the SCP, and if he or she does not succeed, your vote will not be wasted because it will automatically transfer to your next viable choice.
This means that your choice will count twice. This may not work if you do it the other way round; a second vote for the SCP will simply not register if the SCP candidate does not have enough number 1 votes.
