The consumer at heart
25 April 2011
The Scottish Christian Party has put the consumer at the heart of its Holyrood campaign.
In this climate of economic austerity and cutbacks, the SCP believes that the consumer is being left behind.
Dr Donald Boyd, the leader of the Scottish Christian Party, said: “Not everyone has a job or is paying tax, but everyone is a consumer. If the consumer gets a raw deal, then everyone is affected. That is why we will fight for the consumer, forgotten in this climate of spending cuts but rising prices. We propose a radical solution to consumer debt to help the consumer by forcing more prudent lending policies. We have taken the consumer to heart, and the consumer is at the heart of our programme for recovery.”
The Party’s 2011 Manifesto Another Opportunity is available as a downloadable PDF file and a summary can be found here.
Dr Boyd concluded: “If the people of Scotland want to have Christian common sense and fairness back in society, then they should give the Scottish Christian Party their vote on their Regional ballot paper - to put their cross by the Cross.”
