A Referendum on whether Scotland should leave the United Kingdom is scheduled for 18th September 2014.

2014 European Parliamentary Elections

The European Parliamentary Elections are scheduled to take place on 22nd May 2014.

2014 Caol and Mallaig By-election

The Ward 12 Caol and Mallaig by-election to The Highland Council is scheduled for Thursday 1st May 2014.  The SCP candidate is Susan Wallace.

2013 Shettleston By-election

The Ward 19 Shettleston by-election to Glasgow City Council is scheduled for Thursday 10th October 2013.  The SCP candidate is Andy Taylor.

2013 Hamilton South By-election

The Hamilton South (Ward 19) by-election to South Lanarkshire Council is scheduled for Thursday 24th October 2013.  The SCP candidate is Craig Smith.

2013 Govan By-election

The Ward 5 Govan by-election to Glasgow City Council is scheduled for Thursday 10th October 2013.  The SCP candidate is John Cormack.

2013 Aberdeen Donside By-election

The Aberdeen Donside by-election is scheduled for Thursday 20th June 2013.  The SCP candidate is Tom Morrow.

2012 Scottish local council elections

The Scottish Christian Party has fielded 26 candidates in 10 local councils across Scotland for the Local Council Elections on Thursday 3rd May 2012.

2011 Inverness South Ward By-election

Dr Donald Boyd was the Scottish Christian Party candidate for Highland Council - Inverness South Ward By-election on Thursday 3rd November 2011.

2011 Scottish Parliamentary Election

The Scottish Christian Party has candidates standing across all eight Regions in Scotland for the Scottish Parliament Election on Thursday 5th May 2011.

2010 General Election

Dr Donald Boyd was the Scottish Christian Party parliamentary candidate for Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey UK Parliamentary constituency in the General Election on Thursday 6th May 2010.

2009 European Election

On Thursday 4th June 2009 the Christian Party fought the European Election throughout Britain.  In Scotland we ran as the Scottish Christian Party, and in England we were in alliance as The Christian Party – Christian Peoples Alliance.

2009 Inverness West Ward By-election

Dr Sheila McLaughlan was the Scottish Christian Party candidate for Highland Council - Inverness West Ward By-election on Thursday 23rd April 2009.

2007 Scottish Parliamentary Election

On Thursday 3rd May 2007 the Scottish Christian Party obtained a very credible result with 6332 votes in the Highlands and Islands Region.  We are thankful to the Lord for all those people who could see the vision, which we had so little time to explain.

2006 Dunfermline and West Fife By-election

2005 General Election

The Scottish Christian Party fought the General Election as Operation Christian Vote in the Western Isles where the Rev. George Hargreaves was the candidate.

2004 European Election

On Thursday 10th June 2004 we fought the European Parliamentary election as Christian Vote.

11 May 2012: The SCP response to the SNP Consultation on Independence.

14 Jun 2012: The SCP response to “Equal civil marriage”, the Westminster Government’s consultation document on the homosexual redefinition of marriage.

Stop adulterating marriage

5 Feb 2013: The Westminster Government has introduced its Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Bill to redefine, or rather adulterate, marriage.

40,000 teachers face the sack over changing marriage.

Willie Bain, MP, Glasgow North East, said that the Westminster Bill will affect Scotland.

No Highlands and Islands MP spoke up in support of traditional marriage.

Christians are encouraged to write to their MPs and MSPs to register their opposition to any legislation along this line, and to write to the Westminster and SNP Government to encourage them to drop this idea.

We already have polygamy recognised by UK legislation. The SCP response to the SNP Government's consultation is available for download.

Local Council elections 3rd May 2012

Do you have a SCP candidate in your area? If you do, give your first vote to the SCP, and if he or she does not succeed, your vote will not be wasted because it will automatically transfer to your next viable choice.
This means that your choice will count twice. This may not work if you do it the other way round; a second vote for the SCP will simply not register if the SCP candidate does not have enough number 1 votes.
